Never mind this old saying "Beauty is a Curse"! I say, with direct evidence from all around the world ( and maybe even from space. creatures on different planets probably look down on the UP of their kind, too) that being "UGLY IS A CURSE".
The cursed BPs of history and today were not cursed by their good looks. Other factors, usually caused by they themselves, put bad luck on them. The only exception to this would be Helen of Troy (most beautiful woman in the world, circa 700 BC). Aphrodite gave her to Prince Paris because he judged her to be the fairest of the Goddesses. He chose the gift of a gorgeous woman over supreme intelligence and an outstanding army (which would have come in handy later, if ya know what I mean). Poor Helen was truly cursed by her BP status. Forced away from her husband by a Goddess, thrown into a different country to have sex with a stranger, and then to be hated by everyone in Greece & Troy for a long war. She could have been a blow-up doll and the same thing would have happened. That's a curse an UP would never of had to worry about.
Other BPs cannot claim such innocence though. Marilyn Monroe was a promiscuous drug addict (may she rest in peace. I still love her); Gia Carangi (supermodel of the 80s)was given money & fame for being such a BP. She died because of unsafe drug use, & low self-esteem (I love her too, though)
Now that we all agree that BPs are NOT cursed, it's time to talk about why UP are. Throughout our entire history, UP have been ostracized in one way or another. Ancient Greeks & Romans would throw ugly babies off cliffs. They rationalized it as deformity = weakness, but most of those babies were probably just really unattractive.
In the fabulous book, The Princess Bride, Humperdinck, prince of Florin, is set to court & marry the princess of Guilder. This union would have pleased his Alzheimersish father(King), and his stepmother(Queen), as well as the whole country of Florin. Humperdinck goes along with the idea until ......................the princess of Guilder is outed as being completely BALD! She had not one hair on her otherwise pretty head. Of course, a woman being naturally bald automatically puts her in UP status. This book took place before Bosley Hair Restoration was available, & the princess simply covered herself with hats. Prince Humperdinck refused to marry the poor princess, & decided to plot takeover of Guilder instead.
Being so frustrated with almost marrying a UP, Humperdinck sends his #2 (Count Rugen) out to find him a BP, no matter her social class, to be his Queen (who he planned to kill off anyways). The Count gave him Buttercup. The most beautiful woman in the world, at that time. Buttercup was also a ditsy farm girl, who would never love the prince, but he didn't care. As long as she was top shelf BP, he'd gladly show her off as royalty. Can you imagine how the princess of Guilder felt!!!??? I can only imagine her horror upon seeing the wedding announcement for Humperdinck & Buttercup. She, a princess, was back seated to an uneducated, filthy, rude commoner. And all because Buttercup was a BP & she wasn't. Life is even cruel to fictional UP.
An UP who I've known a long time asked me why men never look her in the eye at the grocery store, on the street, dropping off packages in her office, or while fucking her. I told her they must be intimidated. I was lying & she knew it, but wanted to hear a lie. The truth is, men do look at her, before she even notices them. Men are sneaky & quick. They take a look & evaluate whether or not you are a BP or UP. If you are an UP, why waste time, they think. Assholes! UP are people too! If you must imagine another woman during sex, build up your imagination to the point where you can look the lady below/on top of you in the eye & simply see what you desire.
Ugly is a Curse
To those of you who are deemed unattractive by your society: BE STRONG. If you are an ugly woman succeeding in life, in a good relationship & without serious mental issues from being treated poorly- YOU ARE THE FEW, THE PROUD. you are the real role models. If I was treated like an ugly woman, I'd kill myself.
And to you Beautiful Women out there. Enjoy it & stop complaining about superficial things. Believe me, your face/body, or whatever it is about you making you physically attractive to others, is shielding you from many negative occurrences.
There is so much to say about this topic..........
love,
Tin
